CBS (formerly known as the Columbia Broadcasting System) is a major American broadcasting television network which is owned by Paramount Global. The network purchased and ordered Family Matters (from ABC), with the first episode "Out with the Old" airing on September 19, 1997, and concluded the final episode "Lost in Space (Part 2)" on July 17, 1998.
