Plot[]
Urkel finally enrolls in BIT, the Boston Institute of Technology, a fictional prestigious college (a spoof of MIT), which is miles away from Chicago. Laura and Myra attend Illinois Occidental University, where Eddie and Greta are also students. At first, the Winslows are happy to finally be rid of the pesky Steve by giving themselves a whole nerd-free days because Carl is tired of Steve damaging his house and bothering him, but then take pity on him when they learn that he’s homesick. After dealing with her mom’s strict rules, Laura moves into an apartment with Myra, but it doesn't work out for her. Myra starts driving Laura crazy with her early morning workout routine and making Laura drink her homemade mega milkshakes. The next day Laura tells Myra that she’s moving back home because she couldn’t deal with her habits. But Myra is disappointed because she doesn’t have many “Gal Pals” but Laura agrees to be her friend. Steve misses his friends in Chicago so much that he decides to leave BIT to attend Illinois Occidental University with his friends.

Trivia[]
- The existence of MIT in the Family Matters universe has already been established in previous episodes (i.e. Ain't Nothing but an Urkel) so it’s odd that a spoof of MIT was used in this episode.
- During pre-production of the season, writers discussed having Steve in college for a few episodes, but this was quickly turned down.
- When the bullies tried to overwhelm Steve with a seemingly complicated math equation on one of their t-shirts, most of the equation was already solved out on the shirt and Steve only had to do basic addition and subtraction to provide the answer.
- Furthermore, Steve's answer, which was 7, was wrong. The correct answer was 7.33, or 22/3.
